Freedom in 1986

When I was a teenager, there was nothing better in the world, than music, with headphones and having a Walkman so you could take it everywhere you went. When I got older I realized it was those high vibing guitar solos that I remembered the most from that time, in music, and this is one of those songs that wore out the repeat button. This song in particular was a must have on cd or even cassette. It was 1986 . Then Van Halen's video came out for the song and in it they displayed  The Blue Angels.  They created and nurtured a whole generations love for the Air Force and the many talents of the USA Air Force, US Navy and US Marine Corp with just that video in itself.
The song lyrics alone, were very inspirational, especially to a small town girl, growing up in  a small town. I remember turning the volume up and just flying around the house dancing, happy, free and full of energy and most of all dreams. This song would make you feel like the world was your oyster and nothing could stop you from achieving anything you wanted to. Many times as life went on the words "Blue Angel" would repeat in my life.
When I got a little older, I moved, to another small town a few states away. There, the only high school the town had at the time, had a original Blue Angel Jet, displayed on campus and the school teams were "The Jets". I thought that was pretty awesome. Later on, "out of the blue"  I got the nickname "Blue Angel" from a dear friend at a citizens band radio club. More later down the road I even got to work at the school, it was a special time in my life. #USAF #USNAVY #USMC #BLUEANGELS #DREAMS #VANHALEN #America #ProudAmerican #ThankYouUSAAIRFORCE #MEMOIREXCERPT #SYNCHRONICITY
